GENERATION ZERO. AFTER THE END BEFORE THE BEGINNING.
After the World as we know it had ended in a nuclear winter, after decades of waiting for our resilient planet to heal and the lethal contamination to subside, a group of organized survivors miles beneath the North Pole in an enclave called NORTHOLD decide that is time to come out of their hole. They will need to know what’s up there before they venture out again and fulfill their pledge to repopulate the earth. They won't make the same mistakes again.
Before the New World begins they must find out what that world is, who’s out there and what, if anything is alive; what remains. If there is something or someone there, what are their intentions. An expedition will be formed to explore the new world. With a communication line reestablished with an old restored satellite it will be possible to monitor the expedition and to possibly establish communications with other groups that may have survived the nuclear holocaust.
Three notorious 'volunteers', also known in North Hold as the three musketeers are coerced into cooperation. The perfect 'volunteers', three brawlers with commuted sentences, they are suffering from cabin fever and jumping at the chance to get out of what they refer politely to the other hole, the south-hole.
Three nobodies from a new generation born in the enclave after the end. A generation before the beginning…
